Web
Content Copywriting
The Most
Important part of improving your website's
rankings in any search engine is content,
content, content!!! Your
text within each page must do two things
well. It must satisfy the needs of
the customer (you probably already know
how to write that) and it must satisfy
the needs of the search engines. That
is where you need our help.
The right Content
At Blue Gel Media, we are of the belief
that 'Content is king'. Yet
that content must serve multiple purposes
for both the reader and the search
engines. The copy must be clear
and concise such that a reader can easily
skim the material and extract the information
they were looking for. In addition,
the content must still contain key words
and phrases in the right proportions and
locations so as to please the search engines
and keep your page rank position high.
Lay the trail with keywords
Copy writing for the search engines is
founded in the use of keywords and phrases
which are relevant to your site's topic. Just
choosing words from your head is not good
enough. From a list of hundreds of
keyword options related to your web site's
focus, we will research how often those
words are used in searches by the public
in all major engines. We then take
the "winners" and compare them
against a database of all websites to find
out how much competition there is for a
given keyword or phrase. The
best results will be obtained by a balance
between popular keywords and those which
few other websites are competing for.
Keyword variation
We will make sure that we do not focus
to narrowly on a single form of text. Adding
variation to key words and phrases can
greatly enhance the user experience and
page rank in the engines. For example,
using 'Search engine copy writing or 'Search
engine copywriting services' where only
'copywriting' could be used. Using different
forms of important words avoids repetition
and optimizes the page for the variants,
e.g. 'website development' and 'web site
development.' Keywords can also be varied
through the use of more descriptive versions
of the same concept. "Graphics" can
be narrowed down to more direct terms like "print
graphics", "web graphics" and "video
graphics". These are but only
a few subtleties involved in keyword incorporation.
